The "berimbau de boca" also known as "marimbau" or "marimba", is a small arched metal instrument. The slaves used it during the colonization era. The instrument is placed on the teeth; the mouth does the resonance. Today, the berimbau de boca is not used any more, even though very few old time masters, especially angola mestres still know how to play it.
