Raízes do Brasil Capoeira - New York

A native of Brazil, professor Carnaúba received his initial training in Brazil at age of 14 under the tutelage of masters Edinho and Ralil. Since then professor Carnaúba has participated in many tournaments throughout Brazil, representing his native city (Brasília) and the Raízes do Brasil Capoeira Association. Professor Carnaúba has taught and performed capoeira and other Brazilian martial arts since 1989. While attending college in the U.S.A. (Marshall University) he founded the first capoeira school in the state of West Virginia. Professor Carnaúba has performed and taught workshops for a variety of institutions such as The Juilliard School, New York University, Yale University, U.S. Marine Corps Headquarters Battalion and many more!
